Statement Of Faith |
|
|
1. We believe the
Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are inspired of God, and we
believe in the literal translation. (II Tim. 3:16,
II Peter 1:21) 2. We believe in the Eternal Godhead Who
has revealed Himself as One God existing in three persons, the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. (Mat.
28:19; II Cor. 13:14) 3. We believe in the Creation; test and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; that we are made the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:12, 18; Cor. 5:21) 4. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of Man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man (Luke 1:26-27; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6) 5. We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. (I Cor.15:1-4; Rom. 4:25) 6. We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven. His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again for the Church. That He will visibly return with His saints to reign on the earth for a thousand years. Following the Millennial reign will be the ushering in of the new heaven and a new earth. (John 14:2-3; I Thes. 4:13-18; Rev. 21:1-8) 7. We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the Cross of Calvary by which we obtain remissions of sins. (Eph. 2:8-9; Heb. 9:12, 22; Rom. 5:11) 8. We believe after one is born again, they should desire water baptism. Water baptism being a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, not assisting in one's salvation. We identify with the death, burial and resurrection we have in Christ. (Mat. 28:19; Acts 8:34-39) 9. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. We believe this promise of the Father is available to every born again believer. Being baptized in the Spirit is distinct from being born of the Spirit. (Mat. 3:11; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4) 10. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ still heals and performs miracles. Divine healing and deliverance are provided in the atonement. (Mat.8:17; Heb. 13:8; Is. 53:5) |
