Our Vision

"Where there is no vision, the people perish."  (Proverbs 29:18) Vision of God's plan and purpose for the church is the first step to success.  God has plans and purposes for all people, all businesses and all churches.

As a church, we must know God's plan and pursue it.  "And the Lord answered me, and said:  Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it."  (Habakkuk 2:2).

The vision of Dundalk Assembly has two aspects:
A.C.T.S. and ACTS NOW in the Evangelism, Equipping, Encouragement, and Exaltation.  Everything that we do springs from one of these divine, definable purposes.

1 - ACCEPTANCE
"Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God"  (Romans 15:7).  To accept simply means to receive willingly.  There are multitudes of people who are starving for love, longing to be accepted by someone.  It has been said that, "Those who need love the most, deserve it least."

The New Testament declares that, "Whosoever will may come."  God does not exclude anyone.  We at Dundalk Assembly, seek to accept, embrace and to incorporate into fellowship and ministry, everyone who desires to follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

We also want to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to relationship building so that we may establish friendships and have the opportunity to be open and transparent with those we love and whose love we can receive because of the bond of fellowship through Jesus Christ.

There is always a need to be in closer fellowship with other believers and as the church continues to grow, it becomes increasingly impossible to get to know everyone.  There are however, people with whom the Lord will give us relationships and we have a responsibility to encourage and to serve those individuals in the Lord.

2 - COMMITMENT - (John 12:24-29)
Quite obviously, without a relationship with the Lord, personally and individually, there is no use even calling ourselves a church.  It is important that we continually cultivate our relationship with Him with an attitude that is receptive to a move of the Holy Spirit.

Our spiritual growth revolves around commitment - daily communion and fellowship with our Lord; therefore, we encourage people to invest time in prayer and in the study of God's Holy Word.  As we do this, out of a heart of love for God, we will be a family in which the Lord Jesus Christ is honored, our Heavenly Father is adored, and the Holy Spirit allowed freedom to work in our lives, homes and church.

Commitment involves prioritizing relationships and schedules:
1.  Commitment to Jesus Christ
2.  Commitment to spouse, children (family)
3.  Commitment to Dundalk Assembly; our
people, our services and our ministries
With this in mind, people can receive the touch of God and we can accept people, for God is not willing that any should perish. (II Peter 3:9)

3 - TRUTH
"B
e diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of the truth."  (II Timothy 2:15)  Foundational to all that is accomplished in the church, and in every individual believer, is the Word of God.  The apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher are given by our risen Lord to train and equip believers for the work of the ministry.  (Ephesians 4:7-12)  Through the truth of God's Word, we develop a strong conviction of what we believe and why we believe it.   The Bible does not contain the Word of God, it is the Word of God.  The vision of Dundalk Assembly is to constantly nurture believers until they grow to full maturity.  The truth of God's Word is vital to spiritual growth.  It is important that all believers learn how to use the Word in their lives effectively so that they might become overcomers in their Christian walk.  We preach the truth of God's Word uncompromisingly.

4 - SEPARATION
"Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.  Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."  (II Corinthians 6:17)  We are a loving community of disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ who endeavor by our quality of life to please our Heavenly Father, serve one another, and attract the ungodly to be reconciled with God.  We desire to break fellowship with the things of this world, and cling to the newness of life and the abundant life Christ has come to give each of us.  Embracing New Testament teaching, leadership, humility, and power, we are being separated for God's original purpose for His church; reproducing and equipping faithful men and women to fulfill their calling, thus extending the Kingdom of God throughout the whole earth.  "You, my brothers, were called to be free.  But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love...  Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."  (Gal. 5:13; 6:2)
